I really need some help with smart upgrade. I am trying to roll out FP2 using smart upgrade but I can not seem to get it to start automatically from the client.

The steps that I have followed are'

- Create smart upgrade kit
- Create smart upgrade kit tracking results
- Create the custom FP2 exe (tested and installs fine under domain user)
- Create a explicit policy and assign through the person document

I followed the instructions found in the 2 PDF's found on the links below, the only thing that I know of that is different is that I am not putting it on the domain policy as we have Citrix servers and do not want people to try and install it on there

My real problem is that I am unsure how I can tell if my test client is even getting the policy applied to it.
As nothing happens, and there is nothing in the windows event logs, I don't know where to start from

If anyone can point me down the right path it would be greatly appreciated.

UPDATE: I have noticed that there is this information in the notes.ini

SU_IN_PROGRESS=0
SU_NEXT_UPDATE=03/06/2010 01:03:28 PM
SU_FILE_CLEANUP=C:\Documents and Settings\FNurk\Application Data\smkits
SUT_NEXT_UPDATE=03/06/2010 01:03:28 PM

I have also looked in that folder and I do not see anything in the path "C:\Documents and Settings\FNurk\Application Data\smkits"

And even though I only have the policy assigned to the one user FNurk I see the above fields in everyones notes.ini
